Policy

Deposit & Refund Policy

Effective date: 1 July 2026. Applies to enrolment in the NSR Method Practitioner Certification, offered by The Active Healer LLC.

We keep our cohorts small and our places limited, so this policy is designed to be fair to you and workable for us. Please read it before you secure your place, by paying your deposit you agree to these terms.

1. Securing your place: the deposit

A non-refundable deposit of $500 USD secures your seat in a cohort. Because places are strictly limited, the deposit holds your spot and is deducted from your total programme fee. Your place is only confirmed once your deposit has been received.

2. Paying the balance

The remaining balance is due 30 days before the first training day, unless you've agreed a payment plan with us in writing. If a balance or an agreed instalment isn't paid by its due date, we may release your place to someone on the waitlist, and amounts already paid are treated under the cancellation terms in section 4.

3. Changing your mind (cooling-off)

If you change your mind shortly after paying, you may request a full refund, including your deposit, within 7 days of payment, provided the cohort hasn't yet started and your course materials haven't been released. After this window, the deposit becomes non-refundable and section 4 applies.

4. If you need to cancel

Once the cooling-off window has passed, refunds of the balance (your deposit is non-refundable throughout) depend on how much notice you give before the first training day:

  • 30+ days before: balance refunded in full, or transfer your place to a future cohort at no charge.
  • 15–29 days before: 50% of the balance refunded, or transfer to a future cohort.
  • Fewer than 14 days before, or after the programme has started: no refund.

We'll always offer a transfer to a future cohort as an alternative to a partial refund where we can.

5. Transfers & deferrals

You may transfer your place to a future cohort once, if you ask at least 14 days before the start, subject to availability and at no charge. Places are personal to you and can't be passed to another person without our prior written agreement.

6. Withdrawing after the programme starts

Once training has begun, fees are non-refundable. This covers the live teaching, materials, and assessment time already committed to you, regardless of how many training days you attend or whether you complete the assessment.

7. If we change or cancel a cohort

If we need to reschedule or cancel a cohort (including because minimum numbers aren't met, or for reasons beyond our reasonable control), you'll be offered either a transfer to the next available cohort or a full refund, including your deposit. We are not responsible for any travel, accommodation, or other costs you incur in connection with attending. Please don't book non-refundable travel until your cohort dates are confirmed in writing.

8. Events beyond our control (force majeure)

If circumstances beyond our reasonable control prevent a cohort from running as planned, we'll offer a transfer or a credit toward a future cohort. The travel-cost note in section 7 applies.

9. Completion & assessment

Your fee covers your participation, materials, and assessment. It is not contingent on passing or on submitting your assessment components. No refund is given for choosing not to complete the programme or assessment.

10. How to request a refund or transfer

Email suzicurtis@theactivehealer.com with your name and cohort. Approved refunds are returned to your original payment method via Stripe within 10 business days. Refunds are issued in USD; any bank or currency-conversion fees charged by your provider are outside our control and aren't covered. If you have any concern about your enrolment or payment, please contact us first; we'd always rather sort it out personally than have you raise a dispute with your bank.

This policy is part of your enrolment agreement with The Active Healer LLC. We may update it from time to time; the version in effect when you enrol is the one that applies to you. Nothing here removes rights you may have under the consumer-protection laws that apply to you.
